Only for a second... then I noticed all the strings were loose, and I know owls do not have cutting beaks, because I used to have one--an owl skull and beak, I mean. Not an owl. Or a thong. Maybe.

The hair thing gave it away, too. But, if I had an eyepatch, I'd make a leather frame and put one of those googly-eye spheres in it... so it would wobble and twist every which way. That would rock.
