Another game of "find your own symbolism" Seriously. Make stuff up about what this picture means. I'd like to hear it :>
I don't like the foot, but otherwise I'm pretty happy with this? Even though it has absolutely no meaning to me and and I did not plan it out whatsoever. I just wish I could paint with actual real life (or "RL") paints :c
3-4 hours in photoshop, in case you're wondering
lulz I like how there is absolutely no consistency in my gallery whatsoever. It looks like you're browsing a favorites list, but with less cool shit.
Personally, I agree with =Chocolate-Rhinos theory on the symbolism. X3 But seriously, this is really interesting. I love the fish, and the contrasting colors you used. I suppose with how everything is somewhat disjointed - the fish is vivisected, and the figure has no hands, it could be about longing for communication / touch / connections / etc. Loneliness, or the desire to reach out and feel something real.
Lack of consistency is awesome. Those people that like, only draw in the same anime style allll the time really bore me. Sure they have amazing colouring skills and the backgrounds are so detailed and crazy ass realistic, but it's just blah.
But yeah. I really like the colours you used. The muscle tone and atanomy and what not is reallly good. And I like the pseudo-brush stroke textures. DIGITAL PAINTERLY FEEL, HELL YES.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When life kicks you in the balls-- well....ya' really don't come back from that...
The fish reminds me of Dali... but I agree with the other people who commented, something about not being able to reach what you want...
